Machine Condition
The whole machine body condition according to ISO 20816 standards.
Unbalance
Mechanical unbalance is the most common fault on rotating equipment. It is represented by heavy spot on the rotor and creates unwanted vibrations. Unbalance can be also electrical which is caused by rotor or stator electrical failure.
Looseness
Mechanical looseness occurs when the machine is badly fixed to its foundation for example by loose anchoring bolt.
Misalignment
Misalignment occurs when the shaft centreline of two directly connected equipment is not aligned. Misalignment can be angular, offset or combination of both.
Bearing
One of the key components of all rotating equipment is a bearing. Bearing condition and its proper lubrication is an important thing to monitor.
Other
There could be a different source of vibration which Omega is not able to detect. Therefore „Other fault“ indication exists.
Values
Two major vibration values are displayed. Velocity of vibration for the whole machine body vibration information and Acceleration of vibration for the bearing condition status.
